Paranormal Investigation: Theory, Practice, and Applied Field Methods

A Four-Course Intensive with Adam Berry

Step beyond ghost stories and television screens and enter a class structured, investigative study of the paranormal. This four-course workshop is designed to blend history, methodology, experimentation, and community building—guided by me, Adam Berry. I will use decades of real-world experience in paranormal research and investigation plus rare pages from the actual Ghost Hunter's Academy notebook I had way back in 2010!

Participants may enroll in the full four-course program for a comprehensive educational experience or choose to attend individual courses based on interest and experience level.

All classes are held live via Zoom, allowing direct interaction with me and fellow participants. This is not a lecture series you watch—it is an active classroom, encouraging discussion, critical thinking, and real-time questions.

Prior to each class, participants will receive printable course handouts and/or packets, designed to function as academic worksheets, field journals, and reference materials. These documents are intended to grow with you becoming a personalized paranormal research notebook you can continue using in future investigations, group experiences, and events.

Course 1 — Foundations of Paranormal Investigation: Past, Present, and Evolving Practice

January 29, 2026

This opening course establishes the intellectual and practical framework for paranormal investigation. We will examine how ghost hunting has evolved—from early spiritualist practices and folklore-based methods to modern investigative models informed by technology, psychology, and field experience.

Topics include:

Core investigative principles that have stood the test of time

The importance of methodology, documentation, and critical thinking

Common investigative mistakes and how to avoid them

How modern techniques can enhance—not replace—traditional approaches

Whether you are new to paranormal investigation or a seasoned investigator, this course reinforces a solid foundation—the same foundation that supports credible evidence gathering and meaningful experiences in the field.

Course 2 — Paranormal Equipment: Tools, Technology, and Tactical Use

February 5, 2026

This course offers a deep dive into the equipment-driven side of paranormal research, cutting through hype and misinformation to focus on what actually works.

We will explore:

Essential investigative tools and how to use them correctly

When equipment enhances an investigation—and when it becomes a distraction

Real-world applications of devices used on active investigations

Trusted sources for obtaining reliable paranormal equipment

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of why certain tools are effective, how to deploy them strategically, and how to avoid common pitfalls that can compromise evidence integrity.

Course 3 — Advanced Investigation & Evidence Analysis

February 12, 2026

This advanced course pushes beyond standard investigative models into experimental, intention-based, and consciousness-driven techniques that have produced remarkable results in the field.

Topics include:

The Estes Method: theory, execution, and best practices

The role of intention, manifestation, and investigator mindset

Designing safe, ethical, out-of-the-box paranormal experiments

Real case studies where advanced methods produced compelling results

Evidence review: analyzing audio, visual, and experiential data

The dos and don’ts of evidence collection and interpretation

This course emphasizes disciplined experimentation—balancing open-minded exploration with responsible analysis.

Course 4 — The Reality of Investigation: Teams, Trust, and Community

February 19, 2026

Paranormal investigation does not happen in isolation. This final course focuses on the human element—the relationships, teamwork, and community that turn individual curiosity into sustained investigative practice.

We will discuss:

How to form or refine a paranormal investigation team

Establishing trust, roles, and ethical guidelines

Building long-term relationships within the paranormal community

Transitioning from online interest to real-world collaboration

Hosting and participating in group investigations and events

This session concludes with an extended live Q&A, reflecting on the full program, discussing future topics, and giving participants the opportunity to ask in-depth questions. We’ll close by celebrating the shared experience and the investigative journeys ahead.
